WaveLength

WaveLength is the UK’s leading loneliness charity, working for nearly 90 years to make sure no one feels invisible. We work with communities, research partners and policymakers from around the world to improve our understanding of loneliness and provide direct support to people most affected by chronic loneliness.

Drawing on more than 30 years of executive leadership, Tim Leech, the Chief Executive of WaveLength, has founded The International Centre for Happiness to serve as the charity's flagship entity. The Centre is an international consultancy and collaborative solutions organisation that helps businesses, governments, universities, and third-sector bodies solve complex organisational and societal challenges. By collaborating with partners such as the NextPath Device Consortium, the Centre enables organisations to seamlessly meet their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and SBR (Sustainable Business Reporting) requirements.

WaveLength's mission is to help everyone find a sense of belonging and access the support they need to manage loneliness and increase happiness, regardless of their stage of life. We work with communities, research partners and policymakers from around the world to improve our understanding of loneliness and create a society that is more inclusive, accessible and responsive to people’s needs. Our direct support is provided to people most affected by chronic loneliness, through the gift of radios, televisions, tablets and other devices. This initiative offers a vital source of comfort and access to services and opportunities for those facing the greatest barriers to inclusion.

The International Centre for Happiness is an international consultancy and collaborative solutions organisation that helps businesses, governments, universities, charities and NGOs solve complex organisational and societal challenges. The Centre was founded by Tim Leech, Chief Executive of both The Centre and WaveLength Charity, drawing on more than 30 years of executive leadership to enable individuals and organisations to work together equitably to research and challenge issues, such as loneliness and isolation,  creating a happier and more productive society. To achieve this, the Centre delivers educational and tailored training for workplaces and educational institutions, consults on program development, and acts as a product and program developer in the tech and medical sectors to increase equity, scalability, and accessibility.

The ICH designs, leads and manages these collaborative projects, bringing together the right expertise to deliver measurable results for every client, emphasising equitable, self-sustaining solutions that deliver meaningful social outcomes and impactful results. By collaborating with bodies such as the NextPath Device Consortium, the Centre enables businesses, academics, and government departments to meet their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and SBR (Sustainable Business Reporting) requirements.
